AI Shopping feed readiness
Google AI Shopping Product Feed Attribute Audit
Check whether your Shopify product export gives Google AI Shopping what it needs: complete variant attributes, clean public tags, factual descriptions, and a supplemental-feed plan.
Browser-side scan
Drop a product export or feed CSV
No CSV selected
Google AI Shopping and AI Overviews read product data far beyond price and GTIN eligibility: variant-specific size, color, and material values, factual descriptions, and structured product_highlight and product_detail attributes all shape how a product is understood. This audit reads a sanitized Shopify product export in your browser, flags placeholder or very short descriptions, blank variant option values, and internal-looking tags that should never leak into product discovery, and notes when product_highlight/product_detail columns are absent so you can plan a Merchant Center supplemental feed. It exports a per-variant worksheet and never calls Google or Shopify APIs.
Import blockers
Common causes this scan checks
- Variant option values such as size, color, or material are blank, so variants look identical to Google AI.
- Product descriptions are placeholders or too thin for AI Shopping to extract facts from.
- Internal workflow, supplier, or staff tags leak into the catalog that feeds Google.
- No product_highlight or product_detail attributes exist yet for a supplemental feed.
Workflow
How to use the cleaned CSV
- Export your Shopify products CSV and upload it for a local browser scan.
- Review rows flagged for thin descriptions, blank option values, internal tags, or missing images.
- Export the feed attribute worksheet and fix the flagged catalog fields in Shopify.
- Plan product_highlight and product_detail values in a Merchant Center supplemental feed for your key products.
Auto-fix policy
What the export can safely change
- Detects title, description, tags, option, barcode/GTIN, and image columns from a standard Shopify export.
- Flags placeholder or very short Body (HTML) descriptions and blank variant option values.
- Detects internal-looking tags (internal, staff, supplier, draft, test) that should not feed Google.
- Exports a per-variant attribute worksheet in the browser without calling Shopify or Google APIs.

FAQ
Shopify CSV questions
Does this guarantee my products appear in Google AI Shopping?
No. It audits feed-side attribute completeness that Google documentation and Shopify AMA guidance emphasize. Ranking and AI usage stay Google's decision.
What columns does the audit read?
Handle, Title, Body (HTML), Vendor, Tags, Option name/value pairs, Variant SKU, Variant Barcode, and Image Src from a standard Shopify product export.
What counts as an internal tag?
Tags that start with words like internal, staff, supplier, wholesale, draft, test, or do-not. They are safe inside Shopify but should not leak into a public product feed.
Is my catalog uploaded anywhere?
No. The CSV is read locally in your browser with the File API. Nothing is uploaded, stored, or sent to Google or Shopify.
